For about three years my class has been involved in a micro-finance operation called Kiva. It initially began when students were asked to research groups to donate money to. After they had presented their findings the class decided to make a donation to Kiva. We made items to sell and raised enough money for 4 Kiva loans of $25 each. As each loan is repaid we relend the money and have made several more than 4 loans now. Today we made our first loan for 2015. Find out all about who we donated to by clicking on the link below.
